Unknotting Transformative Justice: Race, Dis/Ability, and Care Work

This video features a conversation with activist Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, Dr. Jina B. Kim (Smith College), and Dr. Xhercis Méndez (CSU Fullerton and Founder of Listen Bridge Change) on transformative justice, disability, and care work. In particular, Dr. Méndez discusses the relationship between accountability and punishment and punishment as a performance of care. She invites us to reexamine these relationships if we hope to embrace more empathetic and care-full approaches to harm.
